A faithful refresh — timeless curtains reimagined with longevity in mind.
For this project, the brief was wonderfully clear: “I want exactly what I had before - just new.” The client’s original sheers and curtains had started to disintegrate after years of use, due to a fabric that couldn’t handle the elements. But she loved them - the volume, the texture, the soft sheen.
My goal was to honour what she loved while choosing materials that would last. I sourced a beautiful synthetic fabric that mimicked the look and feel of her original silk curtains, but with the durability to hold up over time. We added a protective lining for extra longevity and used the same materials to create complementary Roman blinds for a cohesive finish.
The result? A near-identical recreation - only better. Built to last, made to feel familiar.
